Last night, I presented my Senior Project.
It was 10min 30sec long (30sec over, but oh well).
I was overwhelmed with applause at the end, too.

And my grade? 99.5%!
Highest in the class, I believe. It's awesome.

Now that Doomsday is over, I'm free again!

I have Subluxatory Patellar Instability,
which means my kneecap slips out of socket
from time to time. It's atraumatic, meaning that

[ Samson Rant ]

On Saturdays, I work from 9-6 at Cascade Kennels. To tell you the truth, I was thinking of staying there until summer started before finding a new job… but after yesterday, well, let’s just say I’m writing my Letter of Resignation as we speak. Right now, I’m sitting injured at home after being mauled by a 175-pound Newfoundland dog named Samson. He’s a Kennel Tech Only dog, which means he has a lot of aggression and vicious tendencies. I was waiting in front of a dog run with Jen to take two dogs out for a play, and then I heard movement behind me. Looking over my shoulder, I find Samson coming up on me while being walked by the new Kennel Tech (who knows nothing about Samson’s issues). Without a moment’s hesitation, he lunges and sinks his jaws down into the back of my left thigh. I swear that dog is possessed by the devil! I didn’t cry, but I really wanted to. Both the new kennel tech and Jen were shocked. The lady walking her was like: “Whoa! He tried to do that yesterday, too!” He actually succeeded this time. I had a big rip in my jeans, several deep puncture wounds, and a large painful scrape to show for it. All of my lesions were bleeding. The other marks (and you could identify every tooth in his mouth from the imprint he left on my leg) were dark purple within the hour. I was in a lot of pain, but I chose to stick the rest of the day out. When I got home, I showed my family what Samson had done and my mother told me to go write my resignation letter---I was finished at the kennel. The incident was completely preventable and it wasn’t in any way my fault. This is the fourth time I’ve been injured there… The first time, I was pulled down a gravel hill on my back by a charging lab. The second time, I had my head slammed between two iron bars while trying to close a run door and keep two bolting dogs from escaping into the kennel. The third time, I was bit ferociously on the hand by a miniature poodle for touching his head with a doggy-brush. It’s ridiculous! I’m sick of being on Ibuprofen all the time to dull the pain of these insane accidents. Needless to say, GOODBYE CASCADE KENNELS.

I've got a fair amount of schoolwork to do over the
course of the next month... 12+ poems to write, two
novels to read, a senior project complete, and a senior
binder to revise. And, as you can see below, I'm really
far behind on my art... I blame school, officially.
It takes up all my time these days.

Things have been getting better lately, but I'm not in
the clear yet. I have close to 100 deviations to sort
through, many emails to answer, four dA accounts
to manage, and personal issues to deal with. BLEK.
Anyone know where I can find an Easy Button?

I'VE BEEN ACCEPTED TO
CORNISH COLLEGE OF THE ARTS!!!

I received my acceptance letter & new student packet
on Tuesday, and let me tell you, it feels so surreal to
be accepted into a college! It feels like I was supposed
to be a kid forever, you know? Now I'll be a college girl!
It's a little unnerving, but also very exciting. I'm thrilled
to be going to Cornish and can't wait
to be a Freshman come Fall.

My mother, sister, and I are flying out to Ohio during
Spring Break to surprise my grandparents, just for the
heck of it! I haven't seen them in almost two years, so it
will be a nice vacation for all of us. My dad has to stay
home because he can't get the week off work, so it's
just us girls. It should be really fun. I'm looking
forward to a break from life, lol.
